Mercedes-Benz cars division sales fell 3.6% and revenue fell 5.7% in the first quarter of 2025. Profit also fell dramatically by 23.9%.

The sales decline continued for Mercedes in Q1 2025 in an unfavorable economic climate. Mercedes-Benz Cars division sales fell 3.6% from 462,978 to 446,300 units. Sales of electric models continued their decline in Q1 2025 when only 40,706 electric models were sold compared to 47,521 in the same period in 2024. Although sales of electric vans rose 59.4%, from 2,980 to 4,749 units, they accounted for only 5.7% of total van sales. Mercedes-Benz Vans division revenue fell 16.6% from €4.893 billion to €4.080 billion, and adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) fell 40.6% from €800 million to €475 million.
