Fiat Professional is proud to announce the official launch of the production of E-Ducato-the 100% electric version of the iconic Fiat Professional Ducato-in the Atessa factory in Italy.

This step marks an important step for the Fiat Professional brand and Stellantis, which are committed to the path of sustainable mobility in the light utility vehicle sector.

In Europe, the strong presence of the Fiat Professional Ducato, the first great utility of Stellantis, with a market share of 11.2%*is a major success. Renowned for being the best -selling utility vehicle in Italy, it has long been a leader in the market for light utility vehicles. In the large utility segment specifically, the Ducato has an impressive 24% market share* In Italy, thus consolidating its market position on the market. In France, the Ducato performs impressive performances, ranking second in its segment and being the first large van of Stellantis. Regarding the leisure vehicle segment, the Ducato is the absolute leader in Europe, with market share growth of 5 points compared to last year, and 70 % of leisure vehicles on European roads have a Ducato base. The Atessa production plant, created in 1979 as a joint venture between Fiat and PSA Peugeot Citroën, began its activities in 1981 near Chieti, Italy. With an area of ​​more than 1.2 million m2this emblematic factory is the largest and most flexible in Europe for the production of light utility vehicles, with a production capacity of up to 1,200 vehicles per day. Currently, 80 % of its production is exported to 75 countries, stressing the international importance of the factory.

The majority of large vans being produced on this site, the start of the production of E-Ducato in Atessa represents a historic moment for the factory and reaffirms Fiat Professional’s commitment to Italian production and ecological transition.
