The 2025 DTM season, marking Pirelli’s third consecutive year as the championship’s sole tyre supplier, is set to kick off at Oschersleben with a star-studded lineup. Nine automotive brands and a host of top-tier drivers—including reigning champion Mirko Bortolotti, three-time titleholder René Rast (Bregenz), and former Formula 1 star Timo Glock—are ready to battle for the first two wins of the year. The opening rounds promise fierce and unpredictable racing on a circuit notorious for punishing mistakes.

Forecasts predict sunny skies throughout the weekend, likely limiting teams to Pirelli’s new P Zero DHG slick tyres, making their competitive debut in both DTM and the supporting ADAC GT4 Germany series (also supplied by Pirelli).

“DTM has consistently delivered adrenaline-packed weekends that fans love,” said Matteo Braga, Pirelli Circuit Activity Manager. “I expect intense battles right from this opening round. Alongside our tyres—which teams praised during testing—drivers will face another new challenge: mandatory double pit stops. I’m eager to see how strategies unfold and how they’ll manage tyre wear.”

The P Zero DHG, designed for GT cars across Pirelli-supported championships, features advanced materials for improved consistency in long-distance performance.
This season, Pirelli’s GT tyres (both dry and wet) will bear the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC)1 logo, certifying that all natural rubber used for the tyres2 is sourced from responsibly managed plantations that preserve biodiversity and support local communities.

1 Pirelli tyres (FSCN003618) are FSC-certified as MIX Natural Rubber. This shows that they are manufactured from a combination of natural and synthetic rubber, conforming with FSC ADVICE-40-004-15.
