Recalling affects more than 80,000 vehicles in the United States. The company said that potentially took action to solve a cable problem that could lead to the opening of the wrong airbag.

In some vehicles, Kia America recalls more than 80,000 vehicles due to a problem that can potentially prevent the cables under the front passenger seat and potentially preventing the vehicle airbags and seat belts.

According to the documents submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, damaged cables may also cause unwanted airbag.

The recall includes 2023-2025 Niro EV, Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) and Hybrid vehicles.

US vehicle dealers will examine the recalled vehicles and will change and re -guide the floor cable device free of charge if necessary. In addition, dealers will wear cable caps.
