The consortium of Nissan, led by five partners, successfully completed the “Evolvad olan, the latest autonomous driving (AD) research project of the United Kingdom.
Evolvad, the previously -backed projects in the UK, were built on Humandrive and Servcity, and bringing autonomic mobility closer to reality as part of the company’s global vision for a safer, cleaner and more inclusive world.
More than 16,000 autonomous driving was carried out with zero accidents in highways, city centers, settlements and rural areas.
Evolvad, which was delivered by a five -part -parted consortium with Nissan’s technical leader, was jointly financed by the government and consortium partners.
The government’s 100 million pounds of smart mobility funds are managed by connected and autonomous Vehicles Center (CCAV) and is provided by Innovate UK, the United Kingdom’s innovate agency.
For 21 months, five partners – Nissan, Connected Places Catapult, Humanising Autonomy, SBD Automotive and TRL – worked to technically support the United Kingdom Supply Chain preparation for future mass distribution of Add technologies in the United Kingdom.
Nissan (Nissan Research Center), the United Kingdom (Nissan Technical Center Europe) and the US (Nissan Advanced Technology Center, Silicone Valley) globally ‘autonomous mobility service’ research is conducting research. This was added to the latest ‘Easy Ride’ Serena AD vehicle test in Japan Yokohama, where the company aims to start autonomous mobility services.
Evolvad contributes to Nissan’s global development in autonomous mobility and shares insight and data to understand how technology can be adapted to a safe performance in different driving conditions around the world.
During Evolvad, connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs) were tested on various simulators and special test tracks before being brought to urban settlements and rural roads for the most meticulous test of name technology so far in the UK.
