Ford Otosan and Otokoç Otomotiv, which maintains their visions with open innovation, innovation and entrepreneurship to the transformation in the global automotive and mobility sector, are organized together for the first time this year and under the name of ‘Synergy Mobility Innovation’. This innovative step is of great importance for the first time the two companies start a joint innovation program within the Koç Group.

Ford Otosan and Otokoç Otomotiv aim to develop and implement innovative and sustainable business models by bringing together the competences of innovation and mobility.

The program, which will collect innovative ideas on electricity, digitalization of mobility services and new mobility solutions, will create both ‘synergy’ in the venture ecosystem and will create a role model in cooperation. In addition, using the powerful muscles of both companies, will develop high -commercialization initiatives.

Since 2016, 270 in -house entrepreneurs have produced 75 projects in Ford Otosan

Since 2016, Ford Otosan has been running the Ford Otosan Innovation Program since 2016 to strengthen the culture of innovation throughout the company and encourage all its stakeholders to produce systematic value. It focuses on the following eight headings in innovation: smart mobility, connected vehicle technologies, electrification, autonomous technologies, customer experience in automotive, industry 4.0, sustainability and productive artificial intelligence.

Within the scope of Ford Otosan Innovation Program, 75 projects have been studied with 270 in -house entrepreneurs under 10 main campaigns. Three of these projects started to be used within Ford Otosan, three of them were commercialized to external customers from the company and four of them became corporations.

In Otokoç Otomotiv, approximately 2,700 new customers have been won with ideas developed in 12 cycles since 2016

Within the scope of in -house entrepreneurship processes since 2016, 47 business ideas were studied with Lean Entrepreneurship Methodology, 29 Business Intellectuals were developed in the pilot period and seven business ideas (business models) were commercialized in a total of 12 cycles. In the last four years, more than 100 million turnover has been obtained from these activities and approximately 2,700 new customer acquisitions have been achieved with innovation initiatives in the last year.

The most important gain of Corporate Entrepreneurship for Otokoç Otomotiv; Thanks to the work of fast experience, fast error and fast learning mechanism, it was possible to test new business models with small resources. In these processes, more than 1,100 OTOKOÇ automotive innovation and entrepreneurship supports and mentoring supports.
